Netflix has unveiled the episode titles for the highly-anticipated seventh series of Black Mirror
Fans of Black Mirror have just over a week left before the new series arrives on Netflix with eager viewers getting an exciting update about what each episode will entail.
The captivating sci-fi programme first graced our screens in 2011 and rapidly gained a cult following. Set in a dystopian future, it presents standalone narratives focused on the potential perils of advanced technology.
Past episodes have explored weighty themes such as simulated realities and the hazards of social media.
Now in its seventh run, Black Mirror is the brainchild of British scriptwriter Charlie Brooker and was initially broadcast on Channel 4 before transitioning to Netflix. Over the years, Brooker has collaborated with other notable TV writers, including the creator of Succession, Jesse Armstrong.

Netflix has confirmed that the new series will be available for streaming on the platform from Thursday, April 10.
Viewers can now get a sneak peek of what series seven has in store in the new trailer, which was released on Monday night (March 31).
How many episodes are there in Black Mirror series 7?
This series comprises six episodes, all of which will be released simultaneously, with some of the episodes running longer than others.

Episode One: Common People

The summary states: “When a medical crisis leaves schoolteacher Amanda battling for her life, her frantic husband Mike enlists her in Rivermind, an advanced system that will keep her alive – but at a price.”
Rashida Jones, known for Parks and Recreation, will portray Amanda. She is joined by Black-ish star Tracee Elis Ross, playing Gaynor and Chris O’Dowd from The IT Crowd as Mike.
Episode Two: Bête Noire

The summary states: “Sweet treat prodigy Maria is unsettled when her old school friend Verity joins her workplace – because there’s something distinctly strange about Verity, something only Maria seems to notice.”
Bête Noire stars Siena Kelly as Maria, Michael Workéyè from This Is Going to Hurt as Kae and Rosy McEwen of Blue Jean fame as Verity.
They are joined by Ben Bailey Smith from Boiling Point, also known as acclaimed author Zadie Smith’s brother, in the role of Gabe.
Episode Three: Hotel Reverie

The summary states: “A high-tech, unusually immersive remake of a classic British film transports Hollywood A-list actress Brandy Friday into another dimension, where she must adhere to the script if she ever wants to return home.”
Issa Rae, known for Barbie, headlines the cast as A-lister Brandy Friday. The episode will also feature Emma Corrin from The Crown as Dorothy, comedian Awkwafina as Kimmy and Harriet Walter from Silo as Judith Keyworth.
Episode Four: Plaything

The synopsis teases: “In a near-future London, an eccentric murder suspect is linked to an unusual video game from the 1990s – a game populated by cute, evolving artificial lifeforms.”
Will Poulter, known for his role in Black Mirror’s interactive film Bandersnatch, is set to return in episode four of the satirical series. He’ll reprise his role as Colin Ritman, with Asim Chaudhry from People Just Do Nothing playing Mohan Thakur.
The episode also features Doctor Who veteran Peter Capaldi as Cameron Walker 2034, alongside Michele Austin of Hard Truths, James Nelson-Joyce from A Thousand Blows, and Lewis Gribben of Generation Z.

Another synopsis reveals: “An isolated man is introduced to a ground-breaking system that allows its users to literally step inside old photographs – stirring powerful emotions in the process.”
Paul Giamatti from The Holdovers stars as Phillip in Eulogy, with Patsy Ferran of Miss Austen fame playing ‘The Guide’.
Episode Six: USS Callister: Into Infinity

The final synopsis hints: “Robert Daly is dead, but now the crew of the USS Callister led by Captain Nanette Cole are stranded in an infinite virtual universe, fighting for survival against 30 million players.”
The season finale is a follow-up to the series four opener, USS Callister, which has become one of the show’s most iconic tales. The initial episode revolved around a gifted programmer who crafts a video game where he takes on the role of a spaceship captain embarking on thrilling escapades with his crew.
In the sixth episode, Cristin Milioti, known for her role in The Penguin, returns as Captain Nanette Cole. Westworld’s Jimmi Simpson also makes a comeback as James Walton, joined by Benidorm actress Milanka Brooks as Elena Tulaska and Paul G Raymond from Wonka as Kabir Dudani.
There are also some fresh faces aboard the ship, including Aladdin’s Billy Magnussen as Karl Plowman and Osy Ikhile from In the Heart of the Sea as Nate Packer.
