Meghan Markle has reportedly been offered an acting role as she and Prince Harry prepare to move their family back to Britain — adding another unexpected layer to the Sussexes’ dramatic return six years after they left the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex, 45, stepped away from acting in 2017 ahead of her engagement to Harry, having risen to fame as Rachel Zane on the hit legal drama Suits. She recently made a brief return to the screen by appearing as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends, marking her first acting appearance in years.
Now, reports claim Meghan has been offered a role in another upcoming project. However, neither she nor Harry has confirmed the details, and it remains unclear what the reported opportunity involves.
The development comes as the Sussexes prepare for a major family move back to the UK.
Harry and Meghan are expected to return at the end of August for an extended stay, bringing their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, with them. The children are expected to begin their education in Britain in September.
The couple are understood to have secured a new non-royal home and will continue running their private business interests while living in the UK. They are not expected to resume their roles as working royals.
The family will also retain their £11million Montecito property in California, as well as their home in Portugal.
Meghan’s possible new chapter

Her screen career included roles in Horrible Bosses and Remember Me, but Suits became her biggest breakthrough. She announced her retirement from acting after becoming engaged to Harry.
