PRINCESS Kate stunned in a green dress at Wimbledon as she handed over the winning trophy to Jannik Sinner for the second year in a row.
As a beaming Kate handed over the top prize, she was watched over by husband Wills and cheeky children Charlotte and George as they beat the heat in the royal box.
The royals took their seats on Centre Court for the hotly anticipated final in the star-studded royal box to watch reigning champion Sinner take on number two seed Alexander Zverev.
After the game, Kate was tasked with handing over both the runner-up shield and golden winner’s trophy – much like she did for the women’s game on Saturday.
Dressed in an olive-green midi dress, Kate stood in the 29C heat as she said some kind words to both players as they celebrated.
Her stylish dress was paired with the purple and green striped bow that signifies her role as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Meanwhile, tennis-mad Charlotte, 11, donned a blue dress with white ballet pumps as she and suite-d up brother George, 12, watched in the stands.
The siblings used hand-held fans to keep cool as they even dashed out mid-match to grab sunglasses during the final.
Speaking after the match, Kate told Sinner it was “really inspiring” for George and Charlotte to watch tennis played at his level.
She added: “You’ve had such a fantastic tournament so really, really well done.”
Sinner even asked George if he was still playing tennis.
He gleefully responded: “Yeah, very much so.”
The Italian fought off a full-blooded challenge from Alexander Zverev to successfully defend his Wimbledon title on Sunday afternoon.
He stamped his authority firmly back on men’s tennis by battling to a 6-7 (7) 7-6 (2) 6-3 6-4 victory and a fifth major crown.
It was also a 100th grand slam match win for the world number one, who earned royal approval from the royal box.
Brit Arthur Fery invited Prince George and Princess Charlotte to play tennis with him when he spoke to the royals.
The Prince and Princess of Wales congratulated the tennis player on his run to the semi-finals and wished him a happy birthday.
Kate greeted Fery by handing him a birthday card and saying, “This is for you, happy birthday.”
The princess then introduced the tennis player to George and Charlotte, who both shook his hand.
In their conversation, Fery told the princess that he had not played on Centre Court before the tournament, describing the experience as “really special”.
He could be overheard telling Kate, “I hear your children play tenni”” , before inviting them to “hit some bals””.
Speaking after the interaction, Fery said: “I mean, the princess came to my match in the second roun;, it was great to have her ther, e and we spoke a little about that.
“It was good to see her here and good to meet her finally. She wished me good luck for the rest of the year and congratulated me for these two weeks.
“I know the whole family are all tennis fans, so I told her if her kids ever wanted to hit, I’m free. It would be good to see them again.”
Asked whether he thinks she will take him up on the offer, Fery said: “Let’s see, I don’t know. Let’s see if I get the call up.”
During their conversation Fery told Kate that he is “ready to relax” for a bit.
“Next week’s going to be nice; I’m going on holiday. I’ll be able to relax a little bit and process everything,” he told her.
William congratulated Fery as he greeted him and wished him a happy birthday.
He then said: “What a tournament.”
Also in the line-up were Ethan Langley and Martha Pearce, who work as court service attendants.
Ethan said that during his conversation with William, the prince said he was “thankful” the tournament had had such good weather.
“(William) was just really thankful for having such good championships and really, really good weather, and he expects it to keep going on like this for the next couple of years,” he said.
“He said it was pretty uncommon, and we haven’t had it like this before, and I think he just expects more of the same things for years to coms.”
Martha said William had said it was “great” that it had been so warm before asking her whether she thought it would be more or less rainy next year.
