Sunday Rose Opens Up About Modeling Career, Famous Parents, and Finding Her Own Identity

As the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban has grown up around two highly successful figures in entertainment. Now building a modeling career of her own, the 18-year-old is learning how to embrace the opportunities that come with her family name while proving herself through hard work, professionalism, and a grounded approach to life.
In a new interview with Vogue Germany, Sunday spoke candidly about navigating the fashion industry with famous parents, balancing modeling with school, and adjusting to the very different worlds she moves between.
From a Private Childhood to the Fashion Runway

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, on July 7, 2008. Their younger daughter, Faith Margaret, was born on December 28, 2010. For much of their childhoods, both girls remained largely out of the public spotlight.
That began to change for Sunday in 2024, when she made her runway debut for Miu Miu during Paris Fashion Week. Since then, she has gradually shared more of her professional journey on Instagram, offering glimpses of the projects she has taken on.
One notable milestone came in March, when she appeared on the cover of ELLE Australia.
As her modeling career develops, Sunday is becoming increasingly visible in the fashion world while continuing to navigate the challenges of growing up in a famous family.
Sunday Rose Acknowledges the Privileges of Her Family Name

In her interview with Vogue Germany, Sunday made it clear that she understands the advantages her background can provide. Rather than dismissing those privileges, she expressed gratitude for the opportunities available to her and emphasized the importance of making the most of them.
“I’m very aware that I’m given opportunities that not everyone can have, and I’m truly grateful to be able to take advantage of them,” she said.
She also explained that she takes her responsibilities seriously whenever she is working, regardless of how demanding her schedule becomes.
“So when I’m at work, I make sure to always give my best, never come to work with a negative attitude, no matter how tired or jet-lagged I may be, and treat everyone with respect.”
Her comments suggest that she wants her conduct and commitment to matter just as much as the opportunities that have helped open doors for her.
How School Helps Keep Her Grounded

Sunday said she has never deliberately tried to conceal her parents’ celebrity status, but she has not made a point of announcing it to others, either.
“I haven’t intentionally told anyone, but not that many people live in our area, so I think most people just knew when I started school,” she explained.
For the young model, school has also played an important role in helping her maintain perspective as she moves between her professional and personal lives.
“I think school is what keeps me grounded the most when I’m modeling. When I started, I wasn’t sure how to cope with the contrast between those two worlds.”
Although the fashion industry brings opportunities to meet new people and experience unfamiliar environments, Sunday said she appreciates being able to return home to a more ordinary routine. That balance has become an important part of her life as she continues to explore her career.
Now in her final year of high school, she is approaching the future one day at a time rather than trying to plan every step in advance.

Sunday’s growing career comes during a period of significant change for her family. After 19 years of marriage, Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025. Court documents cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation, and the divorce was finalized in January 2026.
Under the parenting agreement, Kidman was granted primary custody of Sunday and Faith. The girls are scheduled to spend 306 days each year with their mother, while both parents retain responsibility for major decisions concerning their daughters. If they cannot reach an agreement, Kidman has the final say.
Despite the changes in her family circumstances, Sunday is continuing to focus on school and her emerging career. Her latest interview offers a glimpse into how she is approaching that journey: acknowledging the advantages she has received, treating her work seriously, and finding stability in the everyday routines that keep her grounded.
