The Chase fans stunned as player 'throws shade' at contestant for taking low offer
The Chase: Contestant plays for £5000 offer
Pat, Mick, Chester and Sally were the four contestants joining Bradley Walsh on The Chase on Thursday evening as they faced off against Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan. The team got off to a flying start with Mick and Pat first up and failing to get a single question wrong. However, it was the third contestant Chester who divided opinion among his teammates and ITV viewers alike.
Chester took to the table alongside Bradley and got off to a rocky start.
However, he still managed to earn £3,000 in his cash-builder round and eagerly awaited to see what other options Jenny would propose.
The Chaser offered Chester the chance to go for the lower offer of -£1,000 or the higher offer of £33,000.
Despite admitting he felt “guilty” about it and against the wishes of the team, Chester opted to play for the negative offer.

The move received a lukewarm reception from his teammates but it didn’t stop Chester beating Jenny in their head-to-head to take the reward home.
This reduced the prize fund from £10,000 to £9,000 and it was left to final player Sally to see if she could add to the pot
Sally earned a respectable £5,000 in her cash-builder and, like Chester, eagerly awaited to see what Jenny would offer.
However, when the Chaser offered another low offer of negative value, -£2,000 to be precise, Sally looked unimpressed and hit back: “I don’t think so.”

Her disdain for the low offer didn’t stop there as Sally emphasised, later on, she would not be taking it.
When Bradley put forward the offers following advice from her team, Sally said: “Not taking the minus, of course. I am so tempted by the £41,000 (higher offer).”
Sally opted for the £5,000 she’d earned but sadly wasn’t able to beat Jenny and add it to the prize fund.
However, ITV viewers were slightly more concerned with the “shade” Sally appeared to throw at Chester for taking the negative offer.
