The former GMTV host has made several cryptic digs at his former rival Phillip Schofield this week after his sensational axe from This Morning.
Viewers were absolutely delighted when Eamonn, 63, appeared on the special celebrity edition of The Chase.
The former Sky News anchor appeared alongside the likes of actor Danny John-Jules, Olympian Tom Bosworth and radio presenter Yinka Bokinni.
Fans of the star couldn’t help but take to twitter in their droves as the star re-appeared on ITV in a bid to raise money for charity.
One said: “Lmao Eamon on #TheChase is this have a dig at Phil tonight? #ThisMorning.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Eamonn put him back on this morning with Ruth #TheChase.”
A fourth jokingly asked: “So is @EamonnHolmes appearing on #TheChase tonight also coincidence? @ITV programmers are definitely earning their pay tonight.”
A fifth noted: “Eamonn Holmes on the chase good timing.”
On the programme he managed to earn £6,000 in the cash builder round, but he chose to accept the higher offer to try and win £143,000 for his team.
Eamonn went head-to-head against Jenny Ryan in what was a tense round.
Unfortunately he was caught by the chaser as he accidently pressed the wrong button on a music question and just before he was home, he answered with the incorrect term of a Chinese King Rat Snake.
This week the popular TV personality made several cryptic digs at his former ITV colleague.
The day Phillip sensationally departed the magazine show, he posted a picture with his granddaughter as he wrote: “All in all that rounded off what turned out to be a good day,” alongside a face with hearts emoji.
He also previously liked a post on Twitter shared by a fan which showed himself and wife Ruth Langsford dancing around the This Morning studio in a party-like fashion.
The video, shared on Tuesday amid pressure on Phil to quit This Morning, was captioned: “Absolute scenes round at @RuthieeL ’s and @EamonnHolmes’ house #ThisMorning” alongside a laughing and winking emoji.
Eamonn also liked a tweet where someone said the show/ channel ‘shafted’ him and wife Ruth Langsford, 63.
