Last year, Tea With Judi Dench broadcast on the channel where Hollywood star and national treasure Dame Judi, 91, invited friend Sir Kenneth Branagh for tea at her Surrey home.
The delightful and touching episode featured the two stars exchanging stories from their careers on stage and screen, while also candidly opening up about loss.
And now, Sky Arts has confirmed that Tea with Judi Dench is making a comeback this summer following its success, with Judi being accompanied by legendary guest Sir Ian McKellen this time round.

Judi is accompanied by her dear friend Ian, 87, for tea and an intimate, frank discussion about their remarkable lives both in theatre and beyond, reports the Mirror.
A synopsis teases: “From Shakespeare, stage fright and the insecurities of acting to the worldwide fame of the Lord of the Rings and James Bond movies, they reflect on success, failure and the importance of never taking either too seriously.
“Along the way Ian speaks movingly about coming out, his defining role in the fight against Section 28, and one of his greatest regrets; never sharing the truth about himself with his parents.”
Judi commented on the new episode: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning for a second film, and even more pleased to be sharing the experience with the wonderful Sir Ian McKellen. The response to the first film was deeply touching, and it’s a great privilege to continue these conversations and capture moments of great friendship.”
