Brits appear to think Prince Harry “represents the Royal Family better” than two very popular royals, a surprising new poll has shown. The Duke of Sussex, who quit royal duties in 2020, scored higher than working royals Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie in the Daily Express’ poll, which asked readers which royal they feel represents the family better.
While Harry was nowhere near the top scorer, with just 42 people out of the 2446 people who took part in the poll answering that Harry was the royal who best represented the Royal Family. Only 10 people thought Prince Edward represented the Royal Family best, and only 29 people thought the Duchess of Edinburgh did. This may have come as a surprise to many, especially as Edward and Sophie are popular royals, and Harry has not been a working royal for six years.
Regardless, it is no doubt a boost for Harry, who has not been very popular with the British public since he left royal life and the UK in 2020.
He has not carried out any official royal work on behalf of the monarchy since and has instead set up a new life in Montecito.
However, during the last six years, Harry has come back to the UK for various trips to carry out charitable engagements. The latest visit was in July, and was deemed to be a success.
The Daily Express poll, which ran from 7am on August 11 to 12.30pm on August 13, produced several other findings on how Brits perceive the Royal Family.

The poll found that the person most people think represents the Royal Family the best is Prince William, who is first in line to the throne.
A total of 798 people voted for him. The second-most-voted royal was Princess Anne, with Princess Catherine in third place.
This may not be a surprise for many royal fans, as William is often crowned as the most popular member of the Royal Family in other polls.
This included in a recent YouGov poll, which ran between July 21 and 22, and found that 76% of those polled had a favourable opinion of William. This has been the case for some time, with The Prince of Wales often scoring high in popularity polls.
