ONE BUTTON DECIDED TO BETRAY ITS OWNER… AND GMB INSTANTLY LOST ITS RHYTHM 😳 Just seconds after they were back on air, Ranvir suddenly froze — then said one line that left everyone in the studio stunned. Richard Arnold fired off a quick joke, but the fastest reaction came from Kate Garraway… with a calm, brilliant move that had viewers laughing and breathing a sigh of relief at the same time. A perfect reminder: live TV is never predictable.

GMB’s Kate Garraway Rushes to Rescue Co-Star After On-Air Blunder — Awkward Moment Sparks Chaos

Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway has rushed to help her co-star after a wardrobe malfunction. Friday’s (January 9) episode of the hit ITV programme saw Kate and Ranvir Singh update viewers on the latest news from across the UK and around the world.

They were also joined in the studio by Laura Tobin, who delivered regular weather updates as Storm Goretti brought 99mph winds and heavy snow to the UK, with tens of thousands of people left without power.

Later in the show, Richard Arnold joined the hosts to present the latest entertainment news, but the segment was soon interrupted by an awkward blunder.

After coming back on air, Ranvir quickly realised that the top button on her dress had come undone. “Oh, my button’s come undone!” she said, leaving her co-stars stunned.

“Wrong crowd, Ranvir,” Richard quipped, with Ranvir adding: “I do apologise!”

Kate went on: “You’ve got to know your audience, Ranvir. Everybody watching at home, I’m sure, would have loved it.”

As Richard prepared to begin his segment, Kate was seen placing a piece of paper in front of her co-star as she redid her buttons. “I’ll hide the modesty,” Kate said, with Richard adding, “Do that, lovely. Cover her modesty.”

This comes after ITV viewers shared their delight at Kate and Ranvir presenting the show together. GMB fans will know that the show’s hosting duo are usually a man and a woman.

“Good morning, all @GMB. Nice to have Kate and Ranvir on,” one person wrote, with another adding: “Lovely to see two amazing ladies presenting today.”

A third said, “Kate and Ranvir?” with another similarly sharing, “Omg love how it’s two women today.”

Today’s show underwent another change as Kate also handled the rest of the day’s news. The segment isn’t usually helmed by one of the main presenters.

Meanwhile, Ranvir hosted the London news after the capital’s local reporters lost their roles in the recent ITV shake-ups. The broadcaster announced a big change to its daytime programming last year, with GMB, Loose Women, Lorraine and This Morning all affected by the decision.

The shows are now being broadcast from a new location in central London and are operating on an updated airing schedule. The shake-up sees Loose Women reverting to its previous slot of 12.30pm until 1.30pm on a 30-week “seasonal basis”.

The ITV changes have also seen Lorraine move to a 30-week schedule, with episodes running from 9:30 am until 10am, while This Morning continues to air from 10am until 12:30 pm. The running time for GMB has been increased by 30 minutes for each episode, running from 6am until 9.30am. These episodes will be extended by a further 30 minutes when Lorraine isn’t on air.
