Bombshell update after blood found at home of Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy

There’s reportedly a fresh development in the case of Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother.
The TODAY show anchor’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing on Sunday, February 1. The case is currently under investigation, and authorities suspect that Nancy was “taken from the home against her will,” suggesting a possible kidnapping or abduction. The New York Post has reported that law enforcement sources informed them that blood was found in Nancy’s home in Catalina Hills, Arizona.
The sources also mentioned that, along with the blood, signs of forced entry and a struggle were also discovered. It has not been confirmed whose blood it is.

During a news conference about Nancy’s search case, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos addressed some questions, including one about the reported blood found, reports the Mirror US.
“I am not saying there was blood inside or outside that house. What I’m saying is our team processed it like it would… think of any crime scene, we go in, and we process it. We look for things like that, blood, DNA, any kind of physical evidence-fingerprints-anything and all of that is gathered and submitted to a lab,” he began.

“That lab will report back to us what they find. So far from what we’ve found from that lab is nothing that would tell us, this is who did this,” Nanos concluded.
The sheriff had previously stated that there was “possible DNA evidence” at the crime scene.
“We took some samples that we hope will have enough profile of a DNA. Profile that gives us some identification as to what we are looking at,” he said, per TODAY.
Police have reported that Nancy was last seen on Saturday night (January 31) after a family member dropped her off at her residence around 9:45 pm.
A friend from church contacted the Guthrie’s family, worried that Nancy missed Sunday service. Her children spent an hour searching the property, and they called 911 at noon on Sunday.
Police also pointed out that Nancy’s car and cellphone were left behind and that she has limited mobility. They also stated that Nancy needs to take medication daily or “it could be fatal.”

The authorities are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information related to Nancy’s disappearance.
On Monday, Savannah broke her silence on the matter on social media and asked for prayers for her mother.
The 54-year-old posted a photo with the words “PLEASE PRAY” against a golden background. In her caption, Savannah wrote, “We believe in prayer. We believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him.
“Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you,” she continued.
Savannah then quoted a Bible verse from Isaiah, “He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” She referred to it as a verse “for all time for all of us.”
She ended her caption with a heartfelt plea: “Bring her home.”
