Apple TV’s newest thriller starring The Handmaid’s Tale’s Elisabeth Moss is about to become your next streaming obsession.
Following the upcoming drama’s glitzy premiere in Los Angeles this week, streamers only have a week to wait before the first two episodes are released on Wednesday, 18th March.
Imperfect Women follows a trio of best friends, portrayed by Moss, Kerry Washington and Kate Mara, whose lives are forever changed by a devastating crime.
When one of the women is found murdered, the two survivors are forced to delve deeper into their troubled history than ever before, exposing toxicity, lies, and betrayals.

Also starring Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll and Leslie Odom Jr, the eight-part crime drama is a must-watch for thriller obsessives as it’s inspired by the bestselling novel of the same name by Araminta Hall.

An enticing synopsis for Imperfect Women reads: “The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably.
“As the investigation unfolds, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.”
Glamour has called the series “the psychological thriller you’ve been waiting for” in their interview with series lead and executive producer Moss, who has teased a refreshing change of tone following six bleak seasons of the dystopian drama The Handmaid’s Tale.
“I had scenes where I was laughing, joking, and being flirtatious and gossiping. I don’t normally get to do that. That was really refreshing for me,” she said.

However, she cautioned: “But, by the way, you’re going to see episodes six and seven of this show and be like, ‘What the f*** is she talking about?’ Six and seven are very, very serious.
“Obviously, we get to my episodes when the s*** hits the fan, and that’s what I also love doing. But I did have a few episodes where I got to have some fun.”
Meanwhile, Good Housekeeping promised a “twisted” narrative, adding crime fans have “been dreaming about a series as good as this one”.
Fans are also already eagerly anticipating the upcoming streaming event. One X user vowed: “Don’t need to watch the trailer, will be watching.”
