Collin Gosselin Denies Kate’s “Heinous” Claims That He Harmed Animals as Family Feud Escalates

Collin Gosselin has strongly denied allegations made by his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, that he harmed animals and used weapons against family members, calling the accusations categorically false.

In a statement to Page Six on Tuesday, Collin’s representative, Adriane Schwartz, insisted that the 22-year-old had never committed the acts Kate described.

“Let us be absolutely clear: Collin has never used a weapon to harm a family member, nor has he ever harmed or killed an animal in his lifetime,” Schwartz said.

“These allegations are categorically false… To publicly accuse your innocent child of such heinous acts to protect your reputation is beyond reprehensible,” she continued.

Schwartz added that Collin had shown “extraordinary courage” by sharing his experiences and would not be intimidated or silenced by what she described as damaging accusations.

Page Six said it had contacted Kate’s representative for comment but had not received an immediate response.

Kate Makes Serious Allegations in Social Media Comments

The dispute intensified following the release of Collin’s memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.

In TikTok comments, Kate, 51, alleged that her son had a history of violent behaviour involving weapons, killing animals, regularly using racial slurs and engaging in physical behaviour toward others.

Responding to a follower, she went further, claiming that Collin had killed animals “for fun” and assaulted his siblings with a weapon.

Kate also defended her actions during the period when Collin was reportedly receiving treatment at various facilities. Asked whether she had visited him, she said she went whenever staff considered him stable enough.

“I visited EVERY single time the facility felt he was stable enough for a visit,” she wrote.

She added that some planned visits had been cancelled because the facility considered him too unstable, requiring them to be rescheduled.

Kate Accuses Collin of Leaving Out Important Details

Kate also challenged the way her son has described their family history in his memoir, accusing him of selectively sharing information that portrayed her negatively.

“He’s releasing only segments of his medical record etc that make him make me look bad while also withholding all of his horrific and dangerous behaviors,” she claimed.

She maintained that her actions had been intended to protect the family, including Collin’s siblings and their pets.

“Makes me look like I was mistreating him when I was actually trying to keep him, his brothers and sisters, myself and our pets SAFE,” Kate added.

Her comments came after Collin publicly described what he says was a deeply troubled childhood.

Collin’s Memoir Reignites Long-Running Family Dispute

In his book, Collin accused Kate of verbally and physically abusing him and his siblings. He also alleged that she confined him in a basement and used more than $100,000 belonging to the Gosselin children to furnish her home.

Kate has denied his allegations.

The former couple, who starred with their children on Jon & Kate Plus 8, share eight children: twins Cara and Madelyn, now 26, and sextuplets Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis, Hannah and Aaden, now 22.

The latest exchange highlights how deeply divided the family remains, with both mother and son making sharply conflicting claims about their past.

For now, Collin’s representative has firmly rejected Kate’s accusations, while Kate continues to defend her account of events. Neither side appears ready to back down as the dispute surrounding the memoir continues.
