Kate Middleton reportedly wishes to show her support for Prince Harry but finds herself unable to do so due to her husband’s ongoing estrangement from his younger brother.
The Princess of Wales feels “terribly worried” for the Duke of Sussex, particularly following his recent U.K. trip and reunion with King Charles, but her desire to help is constrained by Prince William’s position on the matter.
The Heatworld reported that a source close to the royal family indicated Kate has been asked not to reach out to Prince Harry. “Kate can’t help but feel terribly worried for Harry.
She sees someone who’s broken and angry, and carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders,” the source told the outlet. “So, of course, a big part of her feels called to reach out and offer him some support. And the fact that she can’t offer any words of wisdom is very difficult.”

Kate Middleton’s loyalty to Prince William takes precedence
According to the publication, Kate’s restraint stems directly from her “loyalty” to her husband, the Prince of Wales. The source explained that William has made his position unambiguously clear regarding any attempt by Kate to bridge the gap between the brothers.

“Prince William has been very clear that under no circumstances will he accept her extending any sort of olive branch to his brother,” the insider said. “The Princess of Wales has to think of her husband first.”
Prince William’s concerns about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The source elaborated on the reasoning behind William’s firm stance. The Prince of Wales feels “convinced” that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would exploit any gesture of reconciliation for their own purposes.
“Plus, it would totally undermine his position,” the insider added, suggesting that William views any olive branch from Kate as potentially damaging to his own authority and position within the family hierarchy.

The situation underscores the unresolved rivalry between the brothers who had been publicly squabbling in the past and privately estranged for years.
Kate remains emotionally concerned about Harry, but her marriage to William restricts her from giving him help, as she is limited by the standards of their marriage.
The Princess is torn between her feelings of sympathy for her brother-in-law and her duty to obey her husband’s strong opinion on the subject.
