Metallica Rose Harrison, the Pennsylvania mother accused of killing her husband and their three-year-old son during a family getaway at Great Wolf Lodge, allegedly resented becoming a parent and felt her young son was taking attention away from her marriage, according to disturbing claims detailed in a search-warrant application.

Harrison, 27, was described by family members as “dominant, controlling” and resentful toward the child. Investigators were reportedly told that she had said she never wanted to become pregnant.

The search-warrant application, obtained by WNEP, alleges that Harrison complained about the time her son took away from the one-on-one attention she wanted from her husband, Charles Harrison.

“Harrison made statements about the child taking away one-on-one time between her and Charles,” the document states.

Allegations of family isolation and resentment

The warrant application also alleges that Harrison isolated her husband from his relatives, including limiting their contact with both Charles and the couple’s young son.

The allegations have emerged as investigators examine the events surrounding the deaths of Charles and the child at the Great Wolf Lodge resort in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, on October 12, 2026.

Harrison is accused of stabbing her husband and son in the chest before attempting to take her own life.

When police arrived at the resort on Monday afternoon, she reportedly told officers she was “suicidal, not stupid” and refused to provide further information.

‘I was supposed to have my happy family’

According to a police affidavit, Harrison also made emotional statements about her role as a mother while emergency medical personnel treated her.

“Every day I work so hard. To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife,” she reportedly said.

“It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child,” Harrison allegedly continued.

The affidavit states that Harrison repeatedly told those around her that she was “not supposed to be here” while being transported in an ambulance.

The statements offer a glimpse into Harrison’s reported reaction following the alleged killings, while the search-warrant allegations raise further questions about the family relationships and tensions that investigators are examining.

Harrison remains accused in connection with the deaths of her husband and son. The allegations described in the warrant and affidavit have not, by themselves, established guilt.
