Prince Harry is reportedly facing a demanding new routine after returning to the UK with Meghan Markle and their two children, with an insider claiming the Duke now has “absolutely zero time to himself.”
The Sussexes have begun a new chapter after moving back to Britain following six years in California. While the family is expected to live at a private, non-royal residence outside London, Harry and Meghan are not returning as working royals. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have also started school in the UK.
According to a source quoted by Heatworld, the couple have adopted a “divide and conquer” approach to their responsibilities, with Meghan concentrating on the children and her lifestyle business, As Ever, while Harry takes on more professional and public commitments.
The arrangement is reportedly allowing them to manage their separate responsibilities—but it has also left Harry with little downtime.

Harry reportedly juggling work and family life
The insider claimed Meghan believes the couple should divide their responsibilities rather than attend every engagement together, a strategy Harry is said to support.
But the source suggested that the arrangement has placed additional pressure on the Duke.
“It does mean a whole lot more pressure on his shoulders and absolutely zero time to himself,” the insider claimed, adding that when Harry finishes work, he is expected to return home and take over parenting duties.
The source also claimed Harry is determined to make the family’s move back to Britain financially worthwhile, while simultaneously looking for further opportunities for both himself and Meghan.
“He’s running from one gig to the next,” the insider alleged.
The claims come amid a period of significant change for the Sussexes. Their return to Britain has brought renewed attention to Harry’s professional commitments, Meghan’s business interests and how the couple will balance their careers with raising Archie and Lilibet.

Meghan and Harry reportedly following separate routines
The couple are also said to be spending more time apart because of their differing schedules.
According to the source, Harry can be out late attending professional events while Meghan is reportedly going to bed earlier so she can be ready for the children the following morning before moving into her own work routine.
The Sussexes’ return is not, however, a restoration of their former royal roles.
A formal communication from Buckingham Palace in September reiterated that Harry and Meghan remain non-working royals, with their position described as being similar to that of private citizens with commercial and charitable interests. Their HRH styles remain in abeyance.
That distinction means Harry’s life back in Britain is likely to look very different from the one he had before the couple stepped down from royal duties in 2020.

Archie and Lilibet’s schooling adds another challenge
The family’s move has also brought changes to the children’s education.
Archie and Lilibet were enrolled at a British school after the family decided to spend an extended period in the UK. Reports subsequently indicated that concerns over traffic and the practicalities of the children’s journey to school contributed to a decision to move them to another school.
Their education is now taking place against the backdrop of heightened attention surrounding the family’s security.
The couple had previously lost their automatic police protection after stepping back from royal duties. Harry later challenged the decision in court but lost his legal battle, and the question of his security remained a major issue surrounding the family’s return.

Security review remains in focus
Harry and Meghan’s security arrangements are now being reassessed following their return to Britain.
The Royal and VIP Executive Committee, known as RAVEC, is conducting separate risk assessments for Harry and Meghan. Harry’s assessment had already been under way, while Meghan’s return as a full-time resident has prompted her first security review since the couple stepped away from royal duties.
The committee has requested information about the couple’s schedules and daily routines as part of the process.
The outcome is particularly significant because Harry has previously argued that security concerns made it difficult for him to bring his wife and children to Britain. He has also said he wanted the UK to remain a place where his children could feel at home.
For now, the Sussexes are establishing a new family routine in Britain while continuing to maintain links to the United States.
A very different life back in Britain
Harry and Meghan’s return marks a striking change from their life after leaving the UK in 2020. They are back in Harry’s home country, but they have done so as private citizens rather than working members of the Royal Family.
For Harry, that means building a professional life on his own terms while also helping Meghan with her ambitions and sharing responsibility for their children.
If the latest claims are accurate, the Duke’s new routine is already proving demanding—with work commitments, family responsibilities and ongoing security questions all competing for his attention.
And with the couple’s new life in Britain still taking shape, Harry’s packed schedule may be only one of the pressures they face as they settle into their new reality.
