Leanne Morgan’s comedy series is returning for a second season this summer on Netflix, with a Yellowstone star among the new cast.

Leanne Morgan’s comedy series, Leanne, is set to return for a second season this summer, with the star expressing she was “so grateful” to be heading back to Netflix. The Big Bang Theory producer Chuck Lorre, the driving force behind the acclaimed series which is just one of many Netflix comedies, responded to its renewal by saying: “Congrats to Leanne and the entire cast and crew.
“This has been an incredible journey that began with a visit to Knoxville, Tennessee. Leanne Morgan is the whole package. A comedic genius, a warm, loving human being, and an absolute joy to work with.”
Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Jayma Mays, Tim Daly, Graham Rogers, Hannah Pilkes, and Andrea Anders will all be reprising their roles in the second season, alongside several new additions.

Leanne makes its return to Netflix on August 27, with the second season comprising 10 episodes.
In welcome news for devoted fans, all 10 instalments will be released simultaneously, allowing for uninterrupted binge-watching.
The forthcoming series is notably more compact than its predecessor, which spanned 16 episodes, and continues to draw inspiration from Morgan’s stand-up material.
The sitcom centres on Leanne, whose life is thrown into turmoil when her husband of 33 years abruptly abandons her for another woman.
Throughout her journey, “Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter, and hope in the most unexpected places”.
Who is joining the cast of Leanne Season 2?

Fresh faces include Country music star and Yellowstone star, Lainey Wilson.
The 34 year old Louisiana-born country artist made her TV debut in Yellowstone in 2022, portraying Abbey.
She is also the subject of her own Netflix documentary chronicling her musical journey, and made her film debut in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s book Reminders of Him.
Actress and model Jaime Pressly has also been confirmed for the cast, widely recognised for portraying Joy Turner in the NBC sitcom My Name Is Earl.
Actor and comedian Billy Gardell, celebrated for Mike & Molly, has similarly signed on, alongside acclaimed film and theatre actress Tyne Daly.
Leanne season 2 airs on Netflix on August 27.
