Three of the victims suffered serious injuries and one juvenile is in serious condition, Revell said. The eight other people wounded are in a stable condition. The victims have not been publicly identified at this time.
The shooting occurred near Florida A&M University’s Bragg Memorial Stadium, NBC News and CNN reported. Hours earlier there had been a homecoming football game between the Arkansas–Pine Bluff Golden Lions and Florida A&M Rattlers at the stadium.
It is unclear if the shooting is connected to the game.
In a previous press conference, Revell said there is believed to be one shooter involved in the incident. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
He confirmed that the youngest victim is 11 years old, while another is a student at Florida A&M University. A victim’s grandmother was also injured leaving the stadium.
Florida A&M University said in a statement, “The University is aware of an incident that occurred near campus on Perry Street on the evening of Oct. 24. The Tallahassee Police Department is on the scene and actively investigating the situation.”

“Our hearts go out to the victims and all those affected by this tragic incident. While the campus remains safe, individuals are encouraged to avoid the area to allow law enforcement to conduct its investigation,” the college continued. “The safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff remain our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the situation…”
Revell thanked first responders for carrying victims from the scene to ambulances, saying, “Without those life-saving heroic efforts, these victims would not have gotten to the care they needed as quickly as they did.”
He added, “Our priority is to determine just what happened and why it happened and to bring the people who are responsible to justice.”
Tallahassee Police are investigating the incident.
