Bryan Adams and Pat Benatar Join Forces for a Powerful Stevie Wonder Classic
The rock icons surprised fans in Detroit by sharing the stage for an energetic performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.”
Bryan Adams and Pat Benatar have been touring together, giving audiences the chance to experience a packed night of familiar hits. But their Aug. 15 show in Detroit delivered something extra when Benatar and her husband, guitarist Neil Giraldo, joined Adams on stage for a special collaboration.
The trio performed Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” creating a memorable moment that also paid tribute to the musical heritage of the city.
A special moment in ‘Motown City’

Adams, who is currently touring in support of his latest album, Roll With the Punches, invited Benatar and Giraldo onto the stage early in the Detroit concert at Little Caesars Arena.
Speaking to the crowd, Adams reflected on their time touring together and revealed that this was the first time they had actually performed together on stage.
“Over the last couple of American tours, we’ve had the great pleasure of having Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo [and] it’s been incredible having them out on tour with us,” Adams told the audience.
“You know something? We’ve never had them on stage before until tonight.”
With the concert taking place in what Adams called “Motown City,” the musicians decided that the occasion called for a song connected to the area’s rich musical history.
Their choice was Wonder’s iconic “Superstition,” which the three performers delivered together during the Detroit show.
The performance was captured on video by @MichiganLiveMusic, giving fans a chance to see the unexpected collaboration.
The tour has now wrapped up

The “Superstition” performance came near the end of Adams and Benatar’s run of joint tour dates.
Their latest stretch of shows concluded on Sunday evening, Aug. 16, in Milwaukee, although both artists have plenty more performances ahead.
Adams will continue with a series of headline shows across Canada through mid-September before heading to Europe for additional concerts beginning Sept. 30 in Germany.
He is also scheduled for further US dates later in the year, including a return to Las Vegas for another residency at the Wynn, beginning Oct. 28.
Benatar and Giraldo will likewise head to Las Vegas for a show at the Pearl Theater on Aug. 21.
Their remaining 2026 schedule includes performances in California and another Nevada date in Reno, with the pair currently set to conclude their touring year with two shows in Chandler, Arizona, in early October.
For Detroit fans, however, the unexpected pairing with Adams provided a standout moment: three acclaimed musicians coming together to celebrate one of Stevie Wonder’s most recognisable classics.
