Actress D’Arcy Carden is best known for her roles as Aunt Phoebe in the sixth and final season of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale alongside her character Janet in the sitcom The Good Place.

However, it’s her recent role as Vicky Marvin in Sunny Nights that fans can’t stop raving about. The actress plays the loose cannon sister of Will Forte’s character Martin.

The American siblings decide to relocate to Australia to set up their own tanning business. Although they quickly find themselves mixed in with the wrong crowd.

The eight-part series aired at the end of 2025 in Australia and is now coming to ITVX next month.

An official synopsis for the show reads: “As Martin and Vicki attempt to turn their company from a start-up operating out of the back of a van into a multi-million-dollar empire, the siblings become tangled up in Sydney’s criminal underworld.

The comedy crime drama also features Ra Chapman, Megan Wilding and Patrick Brammall, reports The Mirror.

Following the series’ broadcast, audiences have been vocal in their praise of the comedy, with numerous viewers describing it as hugely entertaining.

Speaking about the show in the past, D’Arcy Carden told WHO magazine it’s fun to play in a series that mixed comedy and drama.

When asked if it’s fun to navigate the balance as an actress, she commented: “I think so. I think it’s maybe my favourite. It’s fun to mix up what you know in any way – full drama, broad comedy.

As an actor who loves to do comedy, it’s also really fun to dip into this more grounded, serious world. And so we got to really play in both worlds in a way that I find very satisfying.”
