A London home with an infamous bit of history involving Princess Diana, Queen Camilla and King Charles has hit the market.

The late Lady Annabel Goldsmith’s Ormeley Lodge home has gone up for sale for $33.5 million, inviting buyers interested in a 10-bedroom, 7-bath Grade II manor that Sotheby’s touts as “an exquisite early Georgian estate” in the highly desirable South West London. The home boasts 2.3 acres of walled gardens, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a wine cellar and cottages, among other luxe amenities.

Commenting on the sale, Annabel’s son Ben Goldsmith told the Daily Mail, “Ormeley has been our treasured home for our whole lives. But it’s time now to pass it on to another lucky family.”

According to lore, the house was where the late Princess Diana confronted then-Camilla Parker Bowles about her speculated relationship with the future King Charles during the 40th birthday party that Goldsmith, a mutual friend, hosted for Camilla’s sister Annabel Elliot in 1989.

The outlet said that Goldsmith said she was surprised Diana decided to attend, as she typically avoided the same events as Camilla.

After Diana found Camilla and Charles sitting together in a drawing room with a male friend at the party, the Princess of Wales allegedly asked her husband and the pal to clear out so she could speak to Camilla alone.

“I would just like you to know that I know exactly what is going on. I’m sorry I’m in the way. It must be hell for both of you… don’t treat me like an idiot,” Diana reportedly told Camilla.

Camilla argued that Diana got “everything” she “ever wanted,” from men “falling in love” with her to “two beautiful children,” Prince William and Prince Harry, and asked what else she could want. Diana fired back, “I want my husband.”

Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in what was hailed as the wedding of the century in 1981, but their union later unraveled amid differences and allegations of infidelity by both parties. They separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996. Diana died following a car accident in Paris the following year at age 36.

Prince Charles and Camilla then took their rumored romance into the shadows and waited two more years to appear in public together. They took the major step at her sister’s 50th birthday party at the Ritz Hotel in London in 1999, continued to court in the royal spotlight and married in 2005.

Today, the Goldsmith family has decided to sell Ormeley Lodge following the death of their matriarch Annabel at age 91 in October 2025, which brings back the home’s royal past.

Ben told The Times that Princess Diana attended his mother’s iconic Sunday lunches most weekends in the 1990s and that the friends spent lots of time together.

“She was incredibly close with my mother for the last decade of her life. She was there constantly, lying by the pool,” he said.

Prince William and Prince Harry would often join her, Ben added, and the brothers went to Eton — where William’s son Prince George, 12, is headed in September — at the same time he did.
