Brooks Rosser and Daniel Stallworthâs journeys on American Idol came to an end on the April 27 episode. After the Top 7 performed, it was revealed that Brooks and Daniel received the fewest viewer votes and were therefore eliminated.

Following their eliminations, the guys appeared on the official American Idol podcast with Danielle Fishel to share their thoughts about being sent home with just two weeks to go in the competition.
âI did not think I would make it this far,â Brooks admitted. âI was so surprised I even got the golden ticket, so Iâm just so happy I made it this far. Itâs been such a good journey.â
Daniel, on the other hand, âhad every intentâ of making it far in the competition. âI was just hoping for the best and working my hardest to get where I wanted to be,â he said. âIâm excited for whatâs to come. Iâve been enjoying this experience, and I literally would not trade this journey for the world.â
Brooks added that heâs âso proudâ of himself for how far he came on the show. âI love that [the judges] are so supportive, on and off camera,â he confirmed. âThey all just gave me a hug and said, âThis is not the end at all.â Itâs awesome that they said that.â He also reiterated how âgratefulâ he is for the experience.

Both eliminated artists told Fishel that they formed close relationships with so many of their fellow finalists. Daniel got particularly close to Jordan McCullough and revealed, âWeâve talked about this moment. Like, âHey, if one of us gets eliminated, or we both get eliminated, weâre still stuck like glue. We gotta keep calling each other and checking on each other.â Iâm definitely going to support him 100%.â
Brooks, meanwhile, connected with Braden Rumfelt after meeting during auditions. âEver since then, weâve been in touch, just been there for each other,â he said. âAnd Chris [Tungseth] has been there for me a lot also.â Of course, his closest relationship from the show is with Rae Boyd, whom heâs now dating!
Moving forward, Daniel is ready to start touring and making music his full-time job. âI just want to get better as a person,â he concluded. âNot just as an artist, but as a person, and learn how to continue to motivate people and motivate myself, encourage myself, and encourage others, as well.â
