An acclaimed streaming series fans have been hooked by has just returned for its third season on Apple TV
One of the most lauded science fiction programmes of the 2020s has made its highly anticipated third season debut today (Friday, July 3).
Boasting a star-studded ensemble headed by one of Hollywood’s most prominent leading actors of recent times, the series draws from a bestselling collection of novels that enthralled readers for more than ten years.
Silo stars Rebecca Ferguson (Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man) as Juliette Nichols, an engineer residing within a vast network of subterranean shelters housing 10,000 human survivors of an enigmatic disaster.
Believing the world above to be poisonous, residents conduct their existence throughout 144 floors until a succession of peculiar fatalities prompts Juliette to discover a chilling network of conspiracy maintaining her community’s isolation, reports the Mirror.

The second season broadcast throughout late 2024 into early 2025, and the third season has just launched today with its compelling opening instalment, entitled Who Are You?
Millions of devotees are anticipated to watch following the drama’s rapturous reception thus far, and there remains plenty of opportunity to get up to speed before the third season wraps with its 10th episode in September.
A fourth season has already been greenlit, which was announced in 2024 and will conclude this mesmerising dystopian thriller. One viewer awarded Silo a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDB, describing it as “One of the best shows on television”.
“The underlying story is great,” they added. “But the superb acting and intense feeling of peril, combined with intriguing unknowns make this an addictive show well worth your time.”
Another fan labelled it a “Crazy Slow Burn” and revealed they had “Binged both seasons”.
“Not what I was expecting but wow, did it ever catch my attention,” they continued.
“Silo held my attention because it’s all about the mystery. I love a good mystery. Silo manages to drag the answers out at an incredibly slow rate that makes you burn for the answer. While they do this, they throw in many subplots and moving parts that keep it interesting. There’s a lot going on and yet there’s very little going on at the same time.”
Meanwhile, another enthusiast praised the series as “utterly gripping”, claiming it “leaves you breathless” and declaring it “the best show this year, hands down”.
“Need to know what happens next!” they exclaimed. “The tension, the secrets, the sheer ‘what if?’ factor…it’s addictive. You’ll finish wanting more, guaranteed. Every twist, every reveal, it pulls you in.
“Must-watch for anyone who loves a good mystery. You will not be disappointed. The urgency to find out the answers is powerful. The acting is superb. The show is amazing.”
In their assessments, fans have drawn favourable comparisons between Silo and programmes such as Fallout, Westworld, Lost and Severance, making it essential viewing for enthusiasts of dark sci-fi mysteries.
Silo Season 3 continues Fridays on Apple TV.
