Accused Great Wolf Lodge Killer Mom’s Chilling Words After Husband and 3-Year-Old Son Were Found Dead

A Pennsylvania mother accused of fatally stabbing her husband and their three-year-old son at a popular family resort allegedly told police she was “suicidal, not stupid” after being found with cuts to her wrists and puncture wounds to her neck.

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is accused of killing her husband, Charles Harrison, and their young son, identified in court documents by the initials T.H., inside Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains.

According to an affidavit obtained by WNEP, Harrison called 911 on Monday and allegedly told the operator that her husband and son were already dead. When emergency responders arrived, she reportedly spoke about her own desire to die and the family life she had hoped to build.

“My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room. They’re already gone, I’m sorry,” she allegedly told the 911 operator.

The father and son were later found with multiple stab wounds to their chests, according to the affidavit.

‘I Was Supposed to Have My Happy Family’

As emergency medical personnel treated Harrison, she reportedly spoke repeatedly about the effort she had put into being a wife and mother.

“Every day I work so hard,” she allegedly told EMS workers.

“To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child,” she reportedly continued.

According to the affidavit, Harrison repeatedly said she was “not supposed to be here” while being transported by ambulance.

Investigators also alleged that she asked officers for help finding a vein in her neck so she could stab herself. When speaking to police, she reportedly remarked that she was “suicidal, not stupid.”

During treatment, Harrison allegedly asked EMS personnel how deep the vein in her wrist was, referring to “next time.” She also reportedly expressed frustration that her blood had clotted despite her taking blood thinners.

Authorities said Harrison had called for help because she wanted to die but could not locate a vein in her neck. She allegedly told responders she wanted to join her husband and son in death.

Police were called to Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, shortly after 3 p.m. Monday following Harrison’s request for assistance.

Harrison, who lives in Towanda, approximately two hours from the resort, was found with injuries to her left wrist and superficial puncture wounds to her neck, according to the affidavit.

Officers entered Room 2030 and discovered Charles Harrison and the couple’s three-year-old son dead on mattresses. Both had suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Investigators also reported finding a butcher knife on the bathroom floor and a smaller knife in the bathroom sink.

Several suspected containers of blood and multiple bottles of medication were also discovered in the room, according to police.

Family Had Been Staying at Great Wolf Lodge for Weeks

Investigators said the family first checked into Great Wolf Lodge on September 21 and extended their reservation on October 5.

Photographs shared on social media showed the family smiling together, including images of Harrison with her husband and son at the resort.

The case has drawn attention because of the allegations involving a young child and the family’s extended stay at the popular indoor water park destination.

Harrison was taken to a hospital in nearby Stroudsburg for treatment of the cuts to her left wrist and superficial puncture wounds to her neck.

She remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

Harrison is accused of the killings, and the allegations described in the affidavit have not, by themselves, established guilt in court.
