Melissa Rycroft, the former Bachelor contestant and Dancing With the Stars champion, is facing a new charge of driving while intoxicated just months after pleading guilty to a previous DWI offense.

The TV host and dancer was arrested on Sunday in Texas on suspicion of DWI, marking her second arrest involving an alleged intoxicated driving offense within a year. Jail records show that she is facing multiple charges and remains in custody after bail was set at $9,000.

According to Tarrant County Jail records reviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Rycroft was arrested by officers from the Southlake Police Department, the same agency involved in her 2025 arrest.

Her latest charges include second-degree driving while intoxicated, driving with an invalid license related to a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility, and a collision causing at least $200 in vehicle damage.

Rycroft has not yet posted bail and is currently being held at the Tarrant County Corrections Center in Fort Worth, according to the jail records.

Entertainment Weekly contacted Rycroft’s attorney, who declined to comment on the latest case, as well as the Tarrant County P.D.

The Arrest Comes Months After She Pleaded Guilty to a Previous DWI

The latest allegations come after Rycroft pleaded guilty in August to a DWI charge stemming from her arrest in September 2025.

As part of that case, she agreed to serve 20 months of probation, avoiding a potential 280-day jail sentence. She was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, along with additional court costs and a “trauma fine,” bringing the total amount to $2,087.

Following her 2025 arrest, Rycroft’s attorney, Bret Martin, urged the public to remember that an arrest does not establish guilt.

“I want to remind the public of the fundamental principle of our justice system… every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty,” Martin told Entertainment Weekly at the time. “My client was arrested on the allegation of driving while intoxicated. An arrest is no indication of guilt.”

Rycroft Previously Spoke About Struggling

In the weeks following her first arrest, Rycroft briefly addressed her personal difficulties in a reply to a comment on one of her Instagram posts.

“Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward,” she wrote.

Rycroft first became known to television audiences through The Bachelor before going on to build a career as a TV personality and dancer. She later won Season 15 of Dancing With the Stars.

Her latest arrest now comes as she faces a new set of allegations while still serving the probation sentence agreed to in connection with her previous DWI case. The new charges remain allegations, and no further statement has been made by Rycroft or her attorney regarding the latest arrest.
