Simone Biles struggled to hold back her tears as she said goodbye to the Texas home where she and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, spent six years building memories and navigating major milestones in their lives.
The 29-year-old Olympic gold medalist revealed on Tuesday that the couple’s 3,998-square-foot property in a gated community near Spring, Texas, had sold just four days after hitting the market.

In an emotional TikTok video documenting the experience, Biles walked through the empty rooms and reflected on the significance of the house, admitting she had not expected to become so upset about leaving it behind.
“Why the f–k am I boohoo crying? F–k,” she said through tears.
“This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying. I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories.”
She explained that the property had played an important role in her personal growth, making the decision to leave particularly difficult.
“But I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. Ugh, I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house,” she added.
Biles Shares Heartfelt Message for the New Owners
As she filmed the empty interiors and panned across the backyard, Biles took a moment to address whoever would eventually move into the property.
“Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me,” she said.

The gymnast also admitted that the quick sale had caught her by surprise. She had been looking forward to preparing the home for potential buyers and giving Owens one final look around before the property changed hands.
“I was so excited to put in air fresheners for the potential buyers & showing Jonathan the last look,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “I just cried instead… anyone else?”
Biles and Owens moved into the house together in 2020, making it the setting for six years of their lives together.
Although she had anticipated the practical steps involved in selling the property, the emotional impact of leaving a place filled with personal memories proved much harder to handle.
Inside the $1.275 Million Texas Property
The home was initially listed for $1.275 million. According to the Houston Association of Realtors, the final sale price fell somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, although the organisation does not publicly disclose the exact figure.
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom property sits on just over an acre of land and offers a range of luxury features.
Among its highlights are a heated outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a dedicated dog-washing station and a custom wine wall complete with a refrigerator.
The kitchen features a waterfall island and quartz countertops, along with a hidden pantry. Other amenities include a spa-inspired primary bathroom and an oversized three-car garage.
According to the Houston Business Journal, the property went under contract on September 26, just four days after its listing went live, before the sale closed on October 15.
The swift transaction meant the couple’s longtime home was off the market almost as quickly as it had appeared.

Couple Clarify Which Home They Have Sold
Following the announcement, Biles also clarified in the comments that the property was not the couple’s newly built mansion, which is also located in Spring, Texas.
The Olympian announced in November 2025 that their custom home had finally been completed following a lengthy process that began with the design stage in 2020.
The project took more than a year to design, followed by a wait for homeowners association approval before construction could begin in February 2022. The mansion was ultimately completed on November 11, 2025, after nearly three years of construction.
The distinction is important, as the couple’s emotional farewell to their longtime residence does not mean they are leaving the Spring area altogether.
From Their First Meeting to Married Life
Biles and Owens first met on the dating app Raya in March 2020, when Owens was playing for the Houston Texans. The couple became engaged in February 2022 and married in April 2023.
Their lives have since included homes in multiple locations. In addition to their properties in Texas, they own a home in Chicago, Illinois, while Owens currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts during the NFL season.
The couple faced another unsettling property-related incident last month when Biles revealed that her Porsche had been stolen during a frightening break-in at their Chicago home. She said three masked intruders had entered the property.
Despite that incident, it was the departure from their Texas home that brought a visibly emotional moment for the gymnast, who described the house as a place where she had grown into adulthood.
While the sale marks the end of a significant chapter for Biles and Owens, her heartfelt message to the next owners made clear that the memories created there will remain important to her long after the keys have been handed over.
