A six-year-old boy has died after being struck by a van just metres from his family home in Conwy county, Wales.
Harrison Glynne Jones was riding his bicycle near his house when he was hit by a white Ford Transit Tipper on Thursday evening.
His death has left his family in “complete shock”, with relatives remembering the youngster as a “beautiful” and “cheeky chappy” whose personality could light up any room.

Harrison was riding his bike after dinner
Harrison had asked his parents if he could go out for a bike ride after finishing his dinner.
The youngster fell over on a narrow road as he was getting onto his bicycle. It was shortly afterwards that the collision occurred.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5pm on Thursday, but despite efforts to save him, Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
North Wales Police arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of driving offences. He was later released under investigation while officers continued to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time, to come forward.

Family pays tribute to Harrison
Harrison’s parents, Daryl and Kayleigh Bolton, and his two older sisters, Sienna, nine, and Eira, 16, have spoken of their devastating loss.
The family described Harrison as “full of character with a personality that could light up a room”.
A GoFundMe campaign has since been established by Kate Jones to help the family with funeral expenses and essential household costs while Harrison’s parents take time away from work to grieve.
The fundraiser had raised nearly £20,000.
In the appeal, Kate described the moment the family’s life changed forever after Harrison was struck outside his own home.
She wrote that there were “no words” capable of expressing the heartbreak being experienced by his parents, sisters and wider family.
The fundraiser is intended to help Harrison’s parents through the difficult weeks and months ahead as they prepare to say goodbye to their son.
Police investigation continues
Detective Inspector Tim Evans, from North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said officers’ thoughts were with Harrison’s family and friends during the extremely difficult period.
He confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances of the collision remained ongoing.
Police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have captured relevant footage on a dashcam.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference O162122.
For Harrison’s family, the investigation continues alongside the painful task of coming to terms with the sudden loss of a six-year-old boy remembered for his lively character and the joy he brought to those around him.
