Arrow’s Stephen Amell stars.

The Murder Line is now available for streaming on ITV. In February, it was confirmed that the six-part crime drama would air on ITV1 and later stream on ITVX.
The show has a pretty stacked line-up, including Arrow and Suits: LA’s Stephen Amell as officer Henry ‘Hank’ Roland, Transplant’s Hamza Haq, and Emily in Paris‘s Minnie Driver, who star as Roland’s childhood friend, Tommy Hawley, and ruthless British crime family matriarch, May Ferguson, respectively.
Tamara Podemski (Outer Range), Kate Corbett (Fargo), Christopher Heyerdahl (Supernatural), and Thomas Craig (Murdoch Mysteries) also star.

The Murder Line features Roland (Arnell) at the centre of a double murder as he attempts to distance himself from his previous life. After discovering evidence that points to Hawley (Haq) being responsible for the deaths, his new life is thrust into jeopardy, putting him at odds with border patrol officer Erica Ross (Podemski).
An official synopsis from ITV says: “When his plan backfires, his carefully constructed life begins to collapse, thrusting him into a dangerous collision course with backstabbing criminals, suspicious colleagues, and vulnerable civilians who need him more than ever.”
Deadline previously reported that the show – also known as The Borderline in the US and Canada – was created by writer and producer Graeme Stewart and was an original for Canadian streamer Crave.
Bell Media’s Justin Stockman, VP, Content Development and Programming, described the programme as delivering “a gripping narrative that we know will resonate deeply with all audiences”, as well as “rich, multi-dimensional characters”.
President of Television Distribution at Fifth Season Prentiss Fraser added that it also had “all the ingredients we know global buyers and audiences alike are going to love”.
A review of The Murder Line by The Guardian describes the drama as having a “light, playful tone to what could be disturbing subject matter”. Meanwhile, according to Good Housekeeping, fans have said it is “provocative” and “worth seeking out”, even going as far as to suggest that it’s better than a Harlan Coben thriller.
