Noah Kahan and Surprise Guest Chappell Roan Perform ‘California’ at Rose Bowl Stadium
The musician delivered a 27-song setlist during his sold-out The Great Divide tour stop in Pasadena, California.

Noah Kahan welcomed special guest Chappell Roan to the stage during his stadium performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
The duo collaborated on a performance of “California,” a track featured on Roan’s 2023 debut record The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The selection proved appropriate for the regional audience, as the composition details the artist’s migration from her native Missouri to advance her career in the Los Angeles area.
The guest appearance occurred near the conclusion of Kahan’s primary set, which featured 27 selections overall.
Audience recordings captured the musicians greeting each other before Roan expressed appreciation for the invitation, praising Kahan’s character and ongoing support. Kahan introduced the piece by noting it represented his initial introduction to her discography and expressed gratitude for her participation.

The performance commenced with an vocal intro by Roan before Kahan provided acoustic guitar backing, with both artists alternating individual verses and combining vocal harmonies during the choruses.
Kahan’s current global itinerary continues with an upcoming appearance at Petco Park in San Diego, leading up to the conclusion of the North American segment at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on August 31, ahead of international dates scheduled for the fall.
Roan is scheduled to perform at an all-female festival event in Irvine, California, on August 29, followed by two benefit performances at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on October 21 and 22 in support of her initiative assisting transgender youth.
